At Tango’s Tots we believe that young children learn and develop best through having the freedom to play and explore in an environment which is specifically set up for their age and stage of development. We have a large area for play and exploration, allowing for endless learning opportunities.

Hours

  • Tango's caters for both full day and half day children.
  • We are open from 06:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday.
  • Half day collection is between 12:30 and 13:00.

COMPULSORY Activities for the Children

Music Programme
Music takes place once a week onsite for as a 30 minute lesson. All children are encouraged to learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence. This is an enthusiastic, fun filled and stimulation program for 0-6years.

Playball
This program is offered once a week for all children 2-6 years. This comprises of an action packed 30 minute gross-motor program. Playball is taught in an organised and structured manner and you receive two reports per year regarding your child's gross motor abilities. Class numbers are small, children are taught to listen.

Playball is more than just 'playing with a ball' …. It aids in the following learning developments: Self Confidence, Listening Skills, Perception, Life Skills, Teamwork, Balance, Gross Motor Development, Improved Co-ordination, Dominance (right/left), Better Concentration, Rhythm & Timing, Midline Crossing, and Independence  

We find that children who attend Playball display:

  • Increased confidence and independence
  • Motivation to want to succeed
  • Persistence and courage to keep on trying
  • Mature attitude to both winning and handling disappointment
  • Ability to take part in, not just one, but multiple sports
  • Love for physical activity and sport

OPTIONAL Activities for the Children
We offer the follow optional activities for the children; the classes listed below are run by external coaches on the premises (expect swimming). These classes can be booked through the school however payment is direct.

Meals

Tango's Tots offers a well-balanced nutritious menu. Our menus are planned and designed to offer a varied, nutritious and well balanced diet, with food freshly prepared daily on site. We aim to introduce the children to different tastes and textures whist encouraging good manners and a happy atmosphere when we sit down for meal times.

Tango's Tots offers breakfast which is served at 08:15. If your child is not present at this time, we request that he/she eats at home.

Lunch is served at 12:00 daily, consisting of a full cooked meal.

A morning snack and two afternoon snacks are served. This snack included either a biscuit, fresh fruit or something the children have made themselves.

We cater for most allergies and food intolerances, and consider cultural diets. Special dietary requirements can be made by prior arrangement.

Transport

Tango’s Tots has selected partners who provide a number of families transport to and from the school on a daily basis.

Transport arrangements are strictly between the parent and transport company.
